Commissioned by the municipality of Lausanne, this archive balances subterranean thermal stability with an above-ground bronze pavilion. The monolithic poured-concrete volume shelters two centuries of administrative records across five sealed levels.
Structural spans of thirty-four meters eliminate internal load columns, maximizing floorplate flexibility while deep lightwells funnel diffuse northern daylight into public reading rooms.
